1. Thickness & water temperature

Thicker neoprene generally means warmer; the right choice depends on water temperature and personal comfort.

2. Fit

A wetsuit should be snug without restricting breathing or movement — gaps let cold water flush through. Use the maker’s size chart.

3. Material & seams

Premium suits often use materials like Yamamoto® neoprene; seam construction (flatlock, sealed, taped) affects warmth.

4. Care

Rinse in fresh water, dry out of direct sun, and store on a wide hanger. Follow the manufacturer’s care instructions.
